Why is there no VAT on my invoice from Monta ApS?

Your invoices are issued by Monta ApS, the Danish company behind our platform. If your company has a valid VAT number and it is entered in your account, reverse charge applies to Belgian companies. The invoice then shows 0% VAT, with a statement such as 'Article 28' or the code 'AE'.

This is correct: you declare the VAT yourself in your Belgian VAT return, instead of paying it to Monta. For this, your VAT number must be registered in the European VIES system. Ask your accountant exactly how to process this.

Does your invoice show 25% VAT anyway? Then read 'Why am I being charged 25% VAT?'.
