You can charge with the so-called Type 2 plug, also known as the 'Mennekes plug'. The Type 2 plug can be used for charging at both 230 and 400 volts.
Unlike the ordinary household plug (Schuko), this plug is also suitable for charging at higher power levels of up to 32 A or 22 kW and for the Mode 3 protocol. The Type 2 cable is the European standard.
Some older cars have a Type 1 socket. That is not a problem, because cables exist for them with a Type 2 connector on one end and a Type 1 on the other. However, older Type 1 cables are hardly found anymore. For new cars with a Type 2 socket, a T2-T2 cable is sufficient.
