My charge card does not work abroad or at some public charging stations. Why?

Our platform checks your charge card in real time at every charge point of an external operator, instead of using a fixed list of authorised cards. Your card may therefore be refused if:

  • the charge point is not configured correctly, or

  • roaming has not yet been fully passed on to that network.

What can you do?

  • In that case, start the session via the STROOHM App. That is always a good alternative.

  • If you have a problem at a public charge point, it is usually best to call the phone number shown on the charging station. That is the number of the charging station operator, who can often help you straight away.

  • Does the problem persist? Contact the helpdesk and mention your charge card number, the charge point ID or location, and the date and time. This allows us to have it investigated in a targeted way.
