Do I need to put a QR sticker on my public charge point, and how do I do it?

Under the European AFIR rules (in force since 13 April 2024), a public charge point must offer payment without a subscription and full price transparency. For AC chargers (< 50 kW), a QR sticker is the easiest way to do this. A public charge point without a QR code or visibility on the map risks fines. For private charge points and your own employees, a QR code is not required: they charge with their charge card or the app.

  1. Order: in the Shop, go to Create order > Stroohm - Sticker. Each charge point (connector) needs its own sticker.

  2. Apply: clean the surface and apply the sticker at eye level.

  3. Link: open the charge point > Deeplinks > Add deep link from sticker, scan the sticker and click Save and link. This is easier via the STROOHM App.

Unlinking a QR code can only be done by STROOHM: contact the helpdesk.
