Split billing is a feature of eFleet Guard, the add-on for the STROOHM Platform. As an employer, it lets you decide up to which maximum rate per kWh your company covers your employees' public charging. Anything above that rate is charged to the employee.
Split billing applies to public charging only.
How it works:
You set a maximum AC rate and DC rate per kWh that the company covers.
The rate is calculated from the total cost of the charging session (including all surcharges), divided by the number of kWh charged.
If an employee charges publicly at a rate above the limit, the charging costs above the maximum rate are charged directly to the employee and not to the company wallet. The company pays the part up to the limit via its wallet.
Setting up split billing:
Open your company account and go to Members & access > Member groups.
Open the member group (or create a new one).
In the group's wallet settings, turn on paying for charging sessions with the account wallet and choose split billing for the covered rate per kWh.
Enter the maximum AC and DC rate per kWh and save.
Overview of split payments: open your company account, click the three dots and go to Payment > Split billing. For each charging session you can see the total cost, the part charged to the company wallet and the part the employee paid themselves.
If your company does not have eFleet Guard yet, split billing is not available. For more information, contact your account manager at STROOHM or email [email protected].
